Much is wrong with the world. We look around and see there are others with needs far greater than our own. It’s easy to drown in the current glut of pessimism that seems to smother and paralyze many of our good intentions. We may want to take action but assume our efforts will always be dwarfed by the enormity of the problems we face. How can we turn malaise into momentum?

Maybe Abigail G. has the answer. This young lady dares to dream big. She wants to spread kindness and love beyond her school and community and out into the wider world. She imagined a line of small affordable dolls called “Earth Babies.” These cute handmade dolls can be gifted to your friends as a way of acknowledging their specific virtues like courage, perseverance and compassion.

These “no-two-alike” dolls are handcrafted by a courageous individual, Jiaojiao X., who suffers from a spinal cord injury received in a car accident. Jiaojiao has dedicated her time to encouraging and supporting others with various impairments. Some of the funds from the sale of these “Earth Babies” will help to support Jiaojiao and her small team of artisan crafters.

St. Peter’s Primary School is the main beneficiary of the profits from the sale of each “Earth Baby.” In mid January 2024, Abigail G. contributed $1350.00 USD to our GoFundMe fundraiser which is dedicated to the construction of much needed new classroom spaces. Thank you Abigail and George G. for your generous donation and for being such a positive source of inspiration to us all in these crazy times.

If you would like to purchase your very own “Earth Baby” and support the “making a difference” efforts of Abigail and friends, we encourage you to visit their website.
