If there is one lesson that the past several years has taught us all, it has to be the importance of proper personal and group hygiene. Certainly, in a busy and crowded school setting, all students need to be aware of how their behaviour and choices can impact others.
Recently, students and staff here at St. Peter’s Primary School began work on a project that will help to improve everyone’s hygiene. They constructed their first ever V.I.P. – Ventilated Improved Pit Latrine. To help reduce the overall costs of constructing this new latrine, the bricks for the building were made right here at our school. This is just another example of the initiative and the ingenuity found in our staff, students and community.
