St. Peter’s Primary School recently welcomed several visitors who came all the way from Belgium to check us out. Miriam DS took many wonderful photographs which can be found in the GALLERIES section. She kindly shared a couple of her thoughts regarding the short time that she and her group of friends spent at the school with students and teachers.
I was very glad to learn about the efforts the teachers were making to give lessons in English (spoken and written) to all their students. It allowed us to communicate with the children and to know that they understood most of what we were saying.

When we left the children to go to our lodge, a few children followed us and it was so pleasant. When you feel little hands squeezing into yours, you get a warm feeling. Then you don’t take any more photos but you enjoy this moment and you take this feeling with you for a long time.
St. Peter’s Primary School has a long tradition of welcoming many international visitors each year. Every student and teacher gets involved in making sure that your first visit to St. Peter’s will not be your last. If you have plans to be in Uganda to perhaps visit our famed and endangered Bwindi Mountain Gorillas, be sure to add a visit to our school. Use the Contact Us form to request further details on how your small group can experience the “many magical moments” that St. Peter’s Primary School can create just for you!
