    • Term 1: First week of February to early May (2024:  5 Feb. – 3 May)
    • Term 2: End of May to early or mid August (2024: 27 May – 23 Aug.)
    • Term 3: Mid September to first week of December (2024: 16 Sept. – 6 Dec.)

Words of Welcome from our school’s Head Teacher

On behalf of school management, Teachers, Pupils and their Parents, let me welcome you to St. Peter’s Nursery school in Mukozi. My name is Mr. Africano Ngabirano. I am the Head teacher at St. Peter’s Nursery & Primary School which is located in Mukozi village, Nyundo Parish, Nyundo sub county, Kisoro district, in Southwestern Uganda.

Our school has classes ranging from Nursery (Baby, Middle & Top) to Primary level (P1 to P7). We have 11 teachers, 1 cook and 1 School Nurse on staff. Our current enrolment is 359 which is up from 260 pupils in 2022. Our sudden rise in enrolment was due to our good results in the P7 Primary Leaving Examination.

We have seven Primary-level classrooms for pupils. Four additional Nursury-level classes (Baby A&B, Middle and Top) are held in a shared space in the nearby church. Pupils start their lessons as early as 7:00 am and end at 6:00 pm – Monday to Friday. Our wish is to have all pupils be in their own dedicated classrooms in the future.

School activities include: Sports & Games, Music, Dance & Drama, Debating, Art & Craft Handwork, Gardening. All of these activities will improve their knowledge & help them with projects during and after their Primary Cycle education. Pupils are encouraged to speak English, maintain personal hygiene, have morning & evening prayers while at school and home. We love all visitors who come here and we welcome them with lots of singing & dancing.

I wish you all the very best and St. Peter’s Primary School looks forward to meeting many more visitors in the future.
